My Period Potion

Periods suck.

Now the that’s out of the way,  here is one of my favorite and tastiest ways to make it suck less.

I don’t know why it took me so long to do this but I’m so glad I did.

You will need

4 red Raspberry leaf tea bags

48 oz of water

An electrolyte packet of choice. I used LMNT.

A container to store the tea once cooled.

Start by brewing your tea.  You can either brew all 48 oz of water into tea or a smaller amount and then add the rest of the water to cool faster. I’ve done both ways and the result was the same.

This is the instructions on the brand I used.

After you remove the tea bags let your tea cool.

Once your tea is cool add you’re electrolytes. I used the Citrus LMNT. One packet was enough for me to flavor and sweeten the tea.  I find LMNT to be very strong.  If it’s not enough for you you could add your sweetener of choice, more electrolytes,  whatever suits your taste.

I personally enjoy it over a cup filled to the brim with ice.

This is a great way for me to be hydrated, get my electrolytes,  and me red Raspberry  tea to support me during my menstrual cycle in one drink so I have less to think about 🙂
