Ready….wait for it…. here’s what the bathroom looks like…….

Exactly the same!
That wasn’t the plan.
But as I have learned time and time again life doesn’t go according to plan all the time…. and I’m looking at it as an opportunity for God to teach me something that I have long struggled with… patience.
The morning after I painted I expected to head to the paint store…pick out the paint…. and over the weekend finish the top section in a beautiful shade of blue.
What ended up happening was my baby woke up having an allergic reaction.
He was on amoxicillin so it might have been that…. but I also painted the night before and he has never been exposed to that before.
Was it likely the amoxicillin and not the paint….yes…or even a post viral rash…. but do I know 100%… no.
The poor kid ended up on steroids and a few weeks of zyrtec.
And my bathroom project got pushed off.
Then over the weekend my husband ended up with pneumonia.
So now my bathroom project was pushed off even further.
And I’m actually ok with it.
I’m happy to announce that both Andrew’s responded well to their medications and are in much better shape now.
My husband has back to back work trips and my daughter’s birthday party is next weekend…. so that project is paused for at least the next week.
I decided it would be better to let the full two weeks pass from the allergic reaction before messing with anything else. I want to be as certain as I can that if he were to have another reaction I could identify what happened.
My inflammatory arthritis has come back to pay me a visit and it’s one of my cruelest flares to date.
We are in a holding pattern.
I admit several times I’ve sighed looking at those walls. However I’m trying to appreciate the pause it’s given me to take a breathe…let me body rest…and not change my mind about paint colors once it’s already too late.
The more I sit and be still I am convinced God put me in this season of life to teach me something so rather than feel frustrations… I’m trying to be patient.
Whenever the bathroom color is no longer kilz primer I’ll post an update 🙂
