I cannot believe a month has passed since I started my project. I would love to say it’s been a complete success , it hasn’t. However it has been my motivation to keep trying.
I’ve changed my mindset on some things. I’ve embraced my routines even more than I have in the past. I am planning ahead more to avoid issues that have come up in the past. I even got my son on board and he cleaned out some of the belongings he’s been holding onto for too long.
I still have more to do, but I’m not discouraged . The work I’ve done both physically and mentally have set me up for another successful month. My husband and I have agreed to a “Mommy’s day” where he takes over the kids one weekend morning so I can sort, organize , and clean out a few areas of the house. I can be very semitmental about things so I need some space to look at it and come to terms with letting some things like the baby clothes go.
I am trying (although truthfully already falling a little ) to change how I grocery shop to give myself more time to do other things.
March will be a month of letting go and moving on. I’m hoping to have most of the decluttering done by Easter . I saw a great post online about letting go of your stuff for Lent instead of giving up sweets. I like the idea. I clean out my house, give to others in need, and don’t have to give up my coffee .
